Experience of the BWDB Systems Rehabitation Project: Institunal Developement Impacts
This report is part of a six-volume series presenting the findings of the Final Evaluation Study of the Systems Rehabilitation Project (SRP). The series includes a summary and five thematic reports that explore various aspects of the project, combining information and analysis gathered over a year of intensive research and discussion. The study was conducted by an interdisciplinary team led by John Soussan of the University of Leeds, UK, and Anjan Datta of Sanghamitra Gobeshana Kendra (SGK). Other contributors included teams from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), the Environment and Geographical Information Systems Support Project for Water Sector Planning (EGIS), and the SRP itself. The editors extend their gratitude to all these contributors for their dedication in meeting the ambitious goals set for this study. Funding was provided by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Dhaka, whose support was essential not only financially but also in facilitating the execution of the study and the exchange of information. The findings presented here have significant implications for how stakeholders approach the design and monitoring of future projects.
