This book offers a concise retrospective of selected works by Architect Tanwir Nawaz, spanning from his early student days to around 2022. It reflects a diverse range of projects and experiences from his long journey through the world of architecture and design. His significant projects include the Master Planning and Design of the Canadian High Commission and the Recreation Club and Facilities Building in Dhaka, Bangladesh (2002-2005), as well as the Bedford Glen Terraced Multiple Housing in Toronto (1977-1981), which won the prestigious Canadian Architect Award of Excellence. He also served as Architect of Record for Annau Associate Architects on the Concord 39-Storied Twin Residential Towers and Twin Office Buildings in Don Mills, Ontario (1987-1989). Nawaz was an early proponent of sustainable architecture and sustainable urban core developments, exemplified by projects like the Bedford Glen Terraced Condominium Housing and major urban development initiatives for Cityhome in Toronto during the late 1970s and early 1980s, including the St. Lawrence Neighborhood and Frankel/Lambert Housing projects.
